Design and qualification
Over 10% of personnel are dedicated to the Development and Qualification of new products, at the heart of SIREM’s culture and strategy.

Engineers and technicians responsible for Product Development benefit from state-of-the-art computer aided design and simulation tools, in particular:
► 3D CAD: “Solidworks”
► Electric Motor Modelling: “Speed”
► Materials’ resistance: “Cosmos”
► Gears and drives engaging: “KISSsoft”

Qualifying products in the customer application is a fundamental step, carried out by a Department independent of the Product Development Department.

This Qualification Department operates a testing laboratory to carry out functional and also destructive tests.
It benefits in particular from high resolution (1 µm) 3D measuring equipment.
It ensures the compliance of products and systems with international standards (NF, TÜV, UL, etc.)

Manufacturing System
In its premises covering 7,000 m² in St Maurice de Beynost (near Lyon), SIREM has structured a high performing industrial organization:
► Just-in-time production (batch manufacturing upon order)
► Coordinated by a sophisticated ERP software,
► In close association with a limited selection of approved suppliers,
► In accordance with ISO 9000 quality principles,
► Testing 100% of products before their shipment (electrical and functional testing)

More than 250,000 electric gear motors, pumps and motorized rollers are thus manufactured each year and shipped to more than 60 countries.

Environmentally conscious manufacturing (ECM) has been implemented for several years, with a number of concrete actions such as selective sorting and recycling of waste, reduction of energy consumption, reduction of water consumption by 80% in 3 years, progressive elimination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), etc.
