Filtration is key to get clear and clean pool water.
The water in a pool contains organic particles brought in by swimmers and by the wind (dust, pollen, leaves, etc.) The role of a filter is to retain these waterborne particles. An efficient filtration minimizes the amount of sanitizing agents used.
There are several filtration technologies, the most common of which are sand filters and cartridge filters. The final filtration performance depends on the proper combination of the pump, the filtration technology used, and the volume of water to filter.
Selection criteria of the pump include: operating pressure and flow, type of built-in skimmer basket, self-priming conditions, etc. |
