Checkout counters

In supermarkets, checkout counters are carefully designed to maximize the comfort of the cashier and the ease and ergonomics of his or her operations.

The belt system is driven by a motorized roller: the drive unit, including a planetary reduction, is mounted within the drum shell, saving space over conventional drives such as gear motors and offering multiple design options for the checkout counter manufacturer.

Other necessary features of motorized rollers for the checkout application include low heat dissipation (impact on fresh products or frozen foodstuff) and low noise emission (working conditions of the cashier).
